Shaaray Tefila Social Club Walking Tour of Historic Lower East Side – Then and Now
From the late 19th through the early 20th centuries, the Jewish population of New York was concentrated on the Lower East Side. Walk with us through this neighborhood to see relics of how they lived, worked, played, learned, worshiped, and shopped. Learn about multi-generational family businesses that are still thriving today. See how the neighborhood has accommodated successive waves of immigrants and the young adults bringing life back into the area today.
$15 per person. Registration in advance is required; event is limited to 30 people.
